You could rename the CD0 of the Squirrel to SCD or something, it doesn't have to be called CD0. I'm thinking it may possibly avoid some confusion, especially if you were to hot swap the drives or something.

The cd player in my car won't play cd's written above 16x or something, so I have to write them at the slower speeds. Depending on the cd-writer, half speed or less. There's info about this online if you're interested.

Something to do with the type of lens on the writer when setting a correct lower speed. If I write them faster, it struggles to play later tracks or to even seek any tracks at all.
My 80's AIWA plays anything I throw at it... I just wish it sounded better.
