With regards to timing issues that's the first I have heard of it. Is it desolder and remove components? If so, that is something I would get someone to do.


Check your A1200 motherboard revision level before assuming it needs any modification. Also, you can just break those components off neatly with precision pliers - no desoldering needed. A couple of tiny components on the back of the motherboard is all it is.

The EPROM and indeed whole Apollo card sits in the dark underneath the A1200. Unless it's been left in direct sunlight for a week or two it'll be fine (unless corrupted!)

Jens of Individual Computers can reprogram your EPROM (and I'll assume provide a new one) at a cost. But at this stage there's no need to look further than that cracked capacitor.
