Looks like someone's put a coin cell holder/battery on the reverse side. Putting a fan on this card should be no problem as the CPU faces up, so no worries of clearance.

Can you tell us the oscillator speed? Also what speed is your CPU rated at? It should tell you on the CPU (ie XC68040RC33).

The card is 68060 upgradable too, should you desire further down the line. 68060's cost around £80-£100, plus you'd need a voltage converter board for it, plus the cost of someone to do the work (if you can find someone).

Any 68040 is fast though, much faster than the fastest 68030's. You have a nice card, and I know that because I have one. :)

Where's the Boot ROM gone?! Hmmm... maybe yours is different then if it works without that. :hammer:

That two pin connector near the CPU is for powering a fan (previous owner opted for a heat sink instead).

Might be worthwhile downloading and running WhichAmiga, then you'll see exactly what CPU you have plus MHz it's running at:
