Cheaper and more popular. Today CF cards getting quite expensive and not very popular (kind of...). On the other hand, who needs more for Amiga then 8Gb 
Store audio perhaps? I have 100 GB of flac audio. Other people may store video, or photos, or cd iso images.
I trust my Amiga with data 100 times more than my Windows and Linux machines. One thing is certain, Amiga OS never ever needs re-installing once it's on. Wish I could say the same for other OS's.
