That's a proper electronics tinkerer's workbench as well - nice one.  Ahhhh the smell of leaded fluxy solder :)

Had to laugh... as soon as I read this comment on his Workbench I immediately scrolled up and had another look at his Workbench screen and saw nothing special about it at all. Infact I thought "it's dull, boring and just plain wrong" (4 colour mode etc). Then the penny dropped.

The ACA620 is a cracking little card. It'll make your A600 fly comparatively :)

Heaps of room in there!

I mean, you can make the lid fit ok.... xD

Are you absolutely sure that your dvd drive isn't shorting on your 68000 adapter pins? Looks like it is to me...DON'T POWER IT ON UNTIL YOU'RE SURE! :(

Better to insulate and play it safe (if not already done so).

I know its not shorting, because I cut the pins off, and there's two layers of kapton tape over the board ;)

I need to modify the ide cable now, as obviously it won't fit where it used to run...

I'd like to see the keyboard in place now. Looks pretty tight to me, but it looks as though you're well on the way. ;)

Looking good mate! :)

Is the ACA running stable at 25MHz with the heatsink?

As yet, I haven't run it for an extended period.

With the power connector were I've put it, the lid won't fit on :P

I've got some cheapo thermometers on their way, as I want to keep an eye on the PSU, and CPU temperatures the first few times I run it, with the lid closed.

I was also considering adding a fan into the top of the case, but I'm not sure how much this will help...

Personally I'd use a fan if that was my rig. Even a slow fan will do as it will move at least some air about. There's a small space to the left of the floppy where some heat vents remain. I'd probably rest it in the case at 45 degrees, drawing air from the vent blowing it towards the front. If the cpu does get hot, then just put the fan anywhere... As long as the air flows towards the heat sink.
I have a fan in my A600, as mine has a ACA630 which in my mind is too warm for comfort without the fan.
