That is my problem. I don't have FastATA at all so that is why it is not running really smooth at all with me. That also means if I actually have FastATA installed I can watch movies in HAM8 as smooth as a Quad Processor 2 Ghz with 4 GB RAM running Windows 7 would run an AVI movie in a PC.
A standard A1200 14MHz 68020 can play back ham8 videos at full FPS. And a standard A500 7MHz 68000 can play back ham6 videos at full FPS. The only problem is getting data from hard drive quick enough. I did download and play your videos the other week and the audio was broken somehow (can't remember now). Are you still experimenting with this? I might have a crack at this myself if I get the time.
Would be uber cool to have films to download play on my Amiga...even if it is breaching copyright law. :laughing:
