RTG Aware Datatype hugh?

Never heard of that one.

Anyhow, Franko has pointed out to me that I somehow missed the fact that Fblit is supposed to have a config tool that I can use to tweak its settings. I'm going to look for that and see what I come up with.

BTW, has anyone successfully been able to use FText with an Apollo 060 without all your text vanishing?

Yes, I use FBlit & FText on my Apollo1260. No problems here.
Sounds like you need to download both packages again and make sure you install them correctly. The FBlit preferences program comes in the FBlit archive (called FBlitGUI), so I'm not sure why you don't have it.

Have a quick look at this very short thread from earlier this year, it might help you a bit:

Read the FBlit docs thoroughly as there's certain things you have to turn off in FBlit if using OS3.5> although I can't remember what exactly as I'm 3.1. :elvis:

There is also a newer version of FText now which is optimised by Cosmos:

Where are you finding Ftext 1.8? Aminet only has 1.7

Also, FBlit does not work for me. I just installed OS 3.9 again and when I reboot it says:

Fblit is not an executable.

I have FBlit in C: as well as FBlitGUi

The Library is where it should be also.

No GUI loads, nothing.

Hmmm, that's odd. Looks like FText V1.8 has been removed from aminet.

This is FText straight from the horses mouth though:  (HAHA)

You can download it from there.

As for FBlit being non executable, have you checked the filesize is as it should be? Sounds like it got corrupted somewhere along the way to me. Try downloading it and extracting it again. Either that or you could possibly have a virus active on your system.
