i sometimes have the same problem with my a3000..
when i get that message at bootup i just reboot and
then voila!

i dont have a clue what the problem is either, but
like i said for me it works most of the time. once
the miggy has booted theres never any problems with
the x-surf.

ah! with the mni-driver everything works fine,
i dont have to reboot anymore, a longstanding
(3 years) problem solved great! thanks guys!

are there any drawbacks with the mni-driver
compared to the x-surf.device?
