The Amiga can read PC floppies, but not the 1.44mb ones unless you have a HD drive. You have to mount the driver though, should be located in storage/dosdrivers called PC0, copy that to Devs/dosdrivers.
You can format a 1.44 one as a 720kb one, the PC will think its still a 1.44mb though unless you put some tape of the hole in the top left corner of the floppy though.
A PC can not read an Amiga formated disk without extra hardware.
