GVP again producing Amiga hardware?

Browsing the internet I found http://www.gvp-m.com/

It looks to me like they are still or again producing various accelerators for the Amiga. At $495 for the Amiga 4000 / 68060 / 64MB board this is not even a bad price, given that I've seen Cyberstorm MK2's go for €300+ on Ebay...

Is it a hoax, extremely outdated site? Or should everybody looking for an upgrade consider buying it from GVP?

Been reading up on SoftHut, their site does not seem that up to date either.

On your website you list various 68040 and 68060 accelerators for the Amiga 3000 and 4000. Is that information correct and are those orderable products?

If so, can you give me an updated price - possibly including shipping charges for one or more units to the Netherlands? Also I'm interested in the time it will take to ship units (are they in stock)...

Geeze you guys... click through to the SoftHut website (from the GVP-M website) and you will see what GVP stuff is available to order.

Basic story as I recall it... Michael worked for GVP, GVP went bust, Michael decided to make some stuff on his own using GVP name, quality and familiarity, now makes the occasional batch of goodies and sells through SuftHut. The guy doesn't update his site that often - big friggin' deal.

If that's the case, is there someone here on the forum who got one of those TRex2 / '060 cards or any other card from GVP-M for that matter? Still think it's a reasonable price given the "Ebay Value" of these things...

The thread from Softhut is filled with people waiting for a very long time for their cards, would be nice to know the orders are filled and that they are happily humming along :-)

Last point, can this guy take the designs and remake those boards? Didn't the ownership of those designs get sold to someone after GVP went bust?

But you guis must be blind, here was a lot a discussion about that couble of monts ago. All these questions has asked before.

If that's the case I missed them in the search... searched for GVP-M which gave 0 results...

Well, I  emailed both Softhut and GVP-M on sales email addresses listed on their sites and did not receive a response from either one. Nice way to run a business!

Ok ok, point taken

Given that doing stuff with or for the Amiga is almost on par with charity now I  did at least expect a response on my emails, been more than two weeks. And to my self-defence : both sites have the look and feel of a real business. They don't state or point to the fact that they are a spare-time-good-idea type of thing.

Given the prices that accelerators go for, especially the PPC ones, I think here very much is a business case for a limited run of units...
