Depends

1: If you set the 1200 up to output a VGA screen mode (DBL PAL or Productivity should work), you just need an adapter for the monitor cable. (RGB to VGA or some such). Those are a couple bucks from amigakit.

This works great for workbench and a few (very few) games.

2: If you want to play games etc, you need either a scan doubler (indivision or an external box) or an LCD that supports the amiga screen modes.

edit: If you are in europe, and have an LCD with scart, you can get scart adapters and you'll be all set. Damn NTSC standard

Hi you can use Composite video out cable, you know red, white, yellow and then connect them back on the tv, or RGB AV Scart Cable TV Lead. You can buy them on ebay or amikit.com

In europe, yes. In North America, they don't have scart, and the TV's are NTSC, while almost all amiga stuff is in PAL format.

There are several answers to that question; do you want cheapest cost, best AGA output, RTG output, best speed, most future expansion? There are as many answers as there will be responders; many folks will give their opinion as fact. Take each answer with a "grain of salt," and weigh the options yourself. You are the one you want to please, not someone with a Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

You mean the answer isn't "run out and buy 6000 dollars of obscure equipment on ebay, on the recommendation of some nutter on the internet" ?

THey do, though I'm not sure which exact cable you'd want. Search for "scart" on their site, and you'll find a few.

And yes, for amiga stuff, being in Europe is the bee's knees :)
