noisy internal drives
« on: November 13, 2010, 04:45:41 PM »
why on earth were the internal drives commodore used so noisy ?

This might be a dumb question, but almost every external drive I've had for an amiga has always been far more quiet.

Probably because the internal ones are inside the Amigas casing which acts sorta like a loudspeaker cabinet in a way and the external ones were in far tighter enclosures with almost no room for sound reverberation... :)

(wow... don't believe I just typed that, sounds almost too sensible for me... :) )

Did you forget to drink this morning ? :)

That does make total sense though.
