I can't argue in this point, 'cos I feel it might be very near to my own opinion... ;-) But it is, as it is. Going backwards would be very, very dirty, so I still assume, that we shouldn't bother with "what could have been" but try to make the best of the situation. I'm still convinced that the EWG (and the following more political directed EU) is *the* masterplan for peace in Europe, especially for the smaller countries - even if a lot of strange things come out of Brussels...but, hey, our national governments aren't better, really.. :-)
Given the EU is very much "led" by Germany and France, I imagine it very much IS the masterplan for european peace. Thats how we always felt it in Denmark anyways
USA is great if you have money, otherwise you're completely F***ed. Their poverty rates and social systems are really quite awful compared to Europe. The US would be a nice place to live, but only with a good job
yeah, if you are poor here, you are pretty much screwed.
