A celebrity likes the Amiga? Big deal. Who cares about what those celebrities do, want and care about anyway? Am I really supposed to give a damn?

Celebrities mentioning Amiga do help the brand and increase sales since so many try to copy what they do and recommend.

Is that a good thing? Do we really need hordes of sheeple embracing the Amiga, a line of machines they know nothing about? I don't see how that's going to do anyone any good.

No, it's better keeping it at the hobby level, thus, inceasingly prices to insane levels and only a few who can afford it(a la os4).

Shame about the prices, sure, but what do you think would happen to Amiga if it became more mainstream? Do you think it would stay Amiga? Anyway, it doesn't really matter, because it ain't ever gonna happen.

As for my classic... I expect hardware expansions for vintage computers to be expensive. It's just part of the territory.

Indeed. Welcome to hobby land :)
