I am in need of a major Amiga 1200 upgrade to watch movies and enjoy it.
Gonna say it like it is: With 680x0 you're not going to enjoy this one bit, just watch them on your PC.
The question I have, is it worth it to trade my Amiga 1200 USB Sub for an Apollo 1240 knowing very well I will get my A1200 online and it have PCMCIA for file transfer between PC and Amiga 1200 or you think the USB Sub is very IMPORTANT for the A1200 that I should not even think about doing it or you think USB Sub is just a luxury not a necessasity and I can do without it?
If you want speed and don't care about USB peripherals, then go for the '040. If you like using lots of USB stuff, keep the USB Sub and buy an accelerator. It all comes down to what you want.
