Here are some photos of my toaster systems, I have one built and waiting for the software to install a second one. I hook up a blue screen and tried chroma key over the other camera. It is working I need to play with the light more and aspect ratio stuff. more to follow.

more photos, here is some of the program out monitor. it washed out the white in the face, but I think I need better lights, also the left light is blue, I wanted to see what it would do. So it must ne blue light on white that makes it go clear.

I have about $700 for every thing, just showing is about $300 for cameras blue screen, and Amiga 2000 toaster and kitchen sync. I have another one with a toaster 4000 Kitchen sync and PAR. I am hoping to get the toaster running and make a CF hard drive for the PAR. the A2000 has a CF hard drive. I have a question, on the TBC cards shown here there is a wire jumpered across the cards, where does it hook up to at the end wire shown (2869) I think it goes on the row of pins on the mother board but not sure which. I need to build a mount for the CF card reader too. Only so many hours in the day to Amiga.

Yeah I think that too, it has a cable that is out side the computer too, that one hooks up to the serial port on the back. The cable goes from card to card. I got the card that way but don't know where the end goes. Do you have a TBC 1-5 manual?

Thanks, yeah Toaster Garage is a good name. The invasion of the Amiga fighting the takeover of the namesake Amiga. Born of 8 bit technology, this little computer took over my mind and made me buy parts on e-bay non stop until he was complete. Having friended my lawn mower and vintage Mustang hub caps, he set out on this quest of mind control to fulfill his needs. I am helpless to resist his commands. Please, I need help; it will not stop. Tell me the wire diagrams, I need them; it sooths the beast for just a little time, but then back to the e-bay quest. The thing tricked me into convincing my wife to buy me parts. I am telling you; I need help.:hammer:

I had to tear all my stuff down, the van had to go into the shop, so all the amps and gear had to go in the toaster garage. but tuesday the toaster garage is back, that is if the van is fixed then.
 
 
Does any one know where the toaster splash screen is stored. It is on DV1 when I start the toaster then it goes away. can DV1 and DV2 have images stored as a file and loaded to that spot? How do you save images made on the toaster, when I click the floppy drive icon it takes me to a screen to save stuff, with DFO, DH0 icons but it will not let me name it of save it.

I've been building a Toaster computer recently. I have a VT4000, Flyer, AD516 for sound...I'm just still not sure what the rest of this equipment floating around is for I think a short one-line description of what each portion of Amiga video production equipment is would be AWESOME, if someone were inclined to do it For example....still not sure what exactly genlocking and syncs and things like that are for.

 
I will try to put something togther showing what each peice of equipment does, right now I need to get some install disk to build a toaster. Also my van is repaired and all the amps are moved outta the toaster garage. I will be setting it up again this week I hope. Some one wrote about toaster install disk sets but I lost the message so write me back?

I haven't made it to the post office yet. All last week I was involved in union activities after work and then the flu hit me (after I took a flu shot!). I'll try to get to it by the end of this week.

Robert, I hope you are feeling better. I know what you mean, I work late a lot myself. Do you know a lot about the toaster? I want to save some of the images that I created in the toaster and use them again. Does the toaster just output only video and is not able to save like a screen shot? Also, how do you adjust the sensitivity for the T bar, when I do Chroma overlays it wants to do all or nothing with just a small move of the T bar.
 
Chroma is when you overlay one camera over another, usually with one camara pointed at a green/blue screen. The green/blue screen can be removed by the Chroma key device that I hooked up to my Toaster. The Amiga chroma key needs a blue screen to work as it is hard-wired to remove blue.
 
Genlock is the ability to sync all devices to one black burst. With consumer VCRs and camcorders there is no way to control the black burst. Professional devices allow black burst input. (That is a whole other story.) The consumer devices must be synced to the same BB using a device called A time base corrector. This makes all input video arrive at the top left corner X=0 y=0 at the same time allowing other video to be overlayed just like the chroma key, only this uses the computer, e.g. Dpaint.:roflmao:
