Works..
Played Firepower over the Internet from Oregon to Georgia (I think Georgia?)..
Lantronix devices on both sides...

I did have an issue where using the CHAT window would crash the game, but actual gameplay seemed fine...

That was in MODEM mode.
Never tried direct (NULL) mode..

(I lost too..  But I think that just proves how accurate it was.  I would have lost over a real modem.. ;-)
Amiga 1200 w/ ACA1230/28 - 4G CF, MAS Player, ext floppy, and 1084S.
Amiga 500 w/ 2M CHIP and 8M FAST RAM, DCTV, AEHD floppy, and 1084S.
Amiga 1000 w/ 4M FAST RAM, DUAL CF hard drives, external floppy.

Yeah, it was weird, because I figured the game play would break rather than the chat window..  ;-)

But, as long as I didn't chat, it worked great.

Maybe I have a bad copy or something..  I didn't spend too much time on it, as I was getting beaten in the game play..  ;-)

Q-Link?
I thought I heard someone had put up some servers or something..

I loved Q-Link back in the day.
I actually bought 2 copies, 1 for me (on my SX-64) and one for my parents (on the C64) so we could e-mail to save long distance charges while I was in College.  Easier to say 'Please send money, in e-mail) ;-)

The 2 I think of initially are Firepower (which I tried) and Stunt Track (Car) Racer.  Although Stunt requires NULL I believe (not modem), but the Lantronix devices support that also.

There's also games like Populous that support Modem play.

I think there are some flight sims (Fighter Duel (Pro?)) that do as well...
I actually have 2 Lantronix devices and 2 Amigas, so I should be able to test some of them, at least with low latency local connections.

Just have to find the time..  ;-)

And yeah, you can't use the TCPIP stack and WHDLoad together, so you need some type of serial to ethernet device (I assume WHDLoad supports the serial port fine??).

Oh, the Lotus games (2 and 3??) support NULL I believe.
In fact, can't you do 4 player with lotus 3, split screen (2 users per Amiga)??
