As composite is usually either NTSC or PAL, my money would be that the composite output of the PAL A1200 will show as monochrome on an NTSC composite monitor...
You're talking displaying NTSC from your PAL 1200 to the NTSC monitor?
If you're trying to output PAL screens from your PAL 1200 to the NTSC monitor, I'd be surprised if you get a picture even...
