I think it is fair to be a little upset when a piece of hardware comes back not working but you would probably accomplish more by contacting AmigaKit first before going off on a forum. I am sure they are not intentionally screwing you over, and stuff like this can happen with what is near "home brew" electronics.
You could always use another Amiga vendor! Oh wait...
