Hi all

I intend getting an Indivision AGA for my CD32. But before I do, I would like to know or get some idea of the quality of the display I can expect. At the moment I am using the S-VHS output on the CD32 and an 37" LCD TV S-VHS input. The display while overall is good, it's too 'jagged' from what I remember it being on a CRT back in the day. Also the backgound shading in games is very 'hashy' and not smooth.
Would the Indivision improve on this and make it more like a CRT quality of display? I have tried Youtube for video's of an Indivision, but just can tell what the picture looks like. Anyone got screen shots of traditional games being played on a LCD TV??

cheers

That jaggedness is the fact that new monitors have so many more pixels that you are starting to see edges that were once blurred by the ones in older TV sets and monitors like the 1084. The more CLEAR the output IE the Indivision AGA, the MORE jagged it is likely to look.

I hooked my CD32 up to an old CRT TV set and it looks great. My A1200 on an LCD flat panel through the indivision AGA looks great on workbench in hi-res but jagged in games.

I will leave things be for now then. Next step for my retro setup is to try and find PSX to Amiga CD32 adapters. Why it has taken me 7 years to find out the CD32 pads are pants I don't know why.

Hahah, I think that is part of their "Charm!" :)
