As time goes on, more and more jpegs I find on the net have this problem.  It does not stop ALL programs using the picture, just some useful ones.

Example - (not for the squeamish!)

This picture and all on that site is a classic example.  I cannot print it as Graphics Publisher does not recognise it.  I cannot convert it with GFXcon, ImageFX, Photogenics either.  Viewtek saves pics out but won't view it, Visage will view it but not save it out!  Finally I resort to PPaint, but lose a lot of quality by using 256 colours.

I guess my question is, does anyone know of an image converter app which isn't picky about the images.

Cheers

Hi lurkist
Well I have just loaded it on Photogenics 5 on both Pc and Amiga versions, on the Amiga it did ask for volume jpegtmp which you can just assign to anywhere it then loads OK
Still will not load in ImageFX, like you said comes up with Unsupported SOF marker
Too often, we lose sight of life’s simply pleasures. Remember, When someone annoys you it takes 42 muscles to frown, BUT it only takes 4 to extend your arm and bitch slap that mother *’##@*&% upside the head .
