I also read about this on aros-exec and I'm really excited about it. I will be contributing to any bounties that will support this effort.
This is fantastic news and I'm really looking forward to trying it. If you need beta testers, I have a bunch of spare computers around I'd be happy to help with testing and debugging efforts.
Being linux hosted means it will run GREAT on so many more computers.
Being able to seamlessly run chrome, open office, gimp, blender, synfig studio, cinelerra and so many other great linux apps will be fantastic.
Being able to run aros, amiga os3.x apps, linux apps and many windows apps with wine all on one computer, with Aros as the gui/interface will be awesome. And don't forget, DOSBOX is available also for aros and linux, so you can run thousands of dos games and applications as well.
On the linux side, you can also use emulators to run mac os (preosx) apps, atari st apps, and with virtualbox you can run any virtual machines you like (how about os2 or BEOS/Haiku in an aros window?) awesome!
This could just quite possibly be my perfect OS!
Keep up the great work and please do keep us all informed! I really can't wait to use this.
