Euae screen sizes/virtual amiga setup.
« on: February 06, 2011, 07:45:44 AM »
Since my 1200 died I'm working on getting euae going on my linux box.

It works, but I'm having trouble with the screen size settings. Workbench looks fine 1280x1024. I have a 20 inch old crt monitor, looks awesome.
It fills the entire screen appropriately.

When I load games, they don't or won't fill up the whole screen. I tried playing with the screen sizes in the config and I can't figure out appropriate settings, wether correct aspect should be true or false.

Can someone please talk about how to get these settings right?
Its cool and works as it is but I'd prefer to have the games or
whatever fill the whole screen, its a nice big monitor and having
a game play in like 1/2 of it is kind of a waste.

Thanks for any thoughts or ideas on fixing this or at least improving it.

Steven

Thanks for your reply. I am running on euae on my linux machine, so direct x is out...

Those settings you mentioned seem to work better than what I had. There is still a black border but with horizontal and vertical centering set to true, it looks pretty good.

Your right I suppose different games use different screen settings, I just wanted to get it adjusted right for most things...

Looks good. Now I have to fix all this missing kick roms for whdload games next, then I think I'm all set.

This is quite a bitch to tweak for best performance and experience, so I'm backing up my config file for future.
