I check in on this once in awhile, just because I'm a nerd.
I think the idea behind beos/haiku is great and it really does multitask quite well and run fast. I guess what I never liked what the gui and the user interface, just seems really clunky and grotesquely ugly to me.
Haiku has a chance to update the gui but hasn't. It looks like windows 95 to me, maybe 98 but I guess that is the era that are recreating.
Hopefully in the future they will do something, add themes, panels, widgets something to make the gui more customizable and not so horribly ugly. I also can't stand the window decorators, but I guess this is all nonsense if your just interested in how fast and good it works, which I hear is quite well...
