I haven't tried this installation yet but i will, this is great news for aros (and classic amiga people too).
I run aros on a 3ghz pc with a nvidia supported graphics card with gpu.
It will run on alot less, but to get the best experience you really need to use a 1ghz or faster main processor with a supported video card. Aros for x86 is becoming more and more usable as an everyday os every day. Now we have owb, USB support, dosbox (someone is even running windows 98 on it!) and the amiga classic emulation is getting more and more integrated now. Soon classic apps will run almost just like they were an aros native program.
Vesa works fine on most graphics cards but its somewhat slow on many.
The screen writes and things I mean, I'd suggest trying a supported graphics card with gpu, you'll be amazed at the difference.
Give aros another year or two and I'm sure it will be more stable and useable as an every day OS. Thats all I want right now, so please do support the bounties... Much more coming for AROS.
