Hello :-)
« on: October 07, 2009, 09:03:18 AM »
Hello people.

Some of the guys who visit EAB will recognise me from there - and now I'm here too! :)

My interest in Amiga is mainly in coding old skool demo effects in 68000 assembler but I do find some time for some games every now and then too.

Currently I'm working on a new old skool (A500) Amiga megademo with my new demogroup called Retro that will hopefully be released sometime next year so look out for that.

My aim is to also learn some more advanced effects for A1200 / 68080 and maybe release some stuff on that platform too.

Anyways, in the meantime, nice to be here. \o/

@ Leander - no, not that other PMC.

I tried to create my account as pmc but I was told that it was already in use, hence pmc/Retro.

@ Skurk - Hello!

I think you replied to one of my threads on EAB when I was dabbling with a bit of 6502 code on the C64 and making my first asm program on that machine - a scroller.

You offered to help me out then as well - top man. :)

Hmmm, yeah, would be fun to code for that rare old 68080 that not too many of us have seen... ;-)

Think I better stick to the 68060 instead. :-D

@ marcfrick2112 - you should get yourself an A500 or A500+ again to relive the old times! :-)

No need for a tricked out one for the megademo either - we aim to keep it Retro ;-) so a stock machine is all that's required. \o/

How's it coming along? Well: The trackloader's done (courtesy of Vortex/Retro), the decruncher's done (courtesy of Photon/Scoopex), the part selector is done (courtesy of Vortex again), my hidden line vectors part is 90% done and Toffee's zoomer, not quite sure what yet, thingy is coming along too. I need to at least make a credits part and I'm sure there'll be some more stuff too...

Think Kefrens Megademo VIII - maybe it won't two disks worth but it'll be something along the lines of that.

There are no deadlines but it *will* be released. \o/

While I'm at it if anyone likes making really cool ProTracker mods or Deluxe Paint-ing really nice logos or fonts and fancies getting a credit in a real live genuine megademo release then you should PM me!
