"Abandonware" can be interpreted in two ways.
Either the original publisher has declared the works public domain and everything's dandy, or the data is spread by people who've decided for themselves that the software was abandoned and that it should be free to pass on.
Going by the book, the latter violates Amiga.org's terms and conditions of use.
