Is that site legal or a piracy site ?

There's nothing to suggest the site is in any way "official" or connected to the magazines so it's technically illegal... But:

(1) Most of these were PD or demos anyway
(2) The few full programs are generally obsolete or have since been made PD or released under GPL (OctaMED & DOpus 4  respectively)

Not making excuses but they're just old coverdisks, it's not like they're leaking OS4 code or something!

As for word-processors, the commercial ones were always better. I never found anything in the PD that satisfied me. Surely you can find an old (original) copy of  Wordworth somewhere?

wordworth is still being sold by quite a number of amiga retailers, and it is a bloody good piece of software and should be purchased rather than downloaded

I second that. You know, I'd never think twice about downloading a Windows .iso, there are instances where piracy is defendable or even justifiable, but with the Amiga the way that it is, it's just silly. However....

I'd request that the URL is edited out of this thread

...that's going overboard. If the software is out of print, how are you going to make any more money on it anyway?
