I'd recommend a PCMCIA SRAM card(though it's not very fast), as WhdLoad preload's all game data to chip/fastram. In my case, even 8 MB fast was not enough for some games with many floppies, but since you have a ECS Amiga, 4 MB card should be fine.
A1200, Blizzard 1260 + 64mb, Indivision AGA, Subway USB, 8GB CF-HD, PCMCIA network card, OS 3.9.
And a couple of A600\'s :).

I did get some 5 floppy games to work with only 2MB Chip also(without preload), but the constant flickering between the game and WB was too much for me ... And I like my WhdLoad experience as a smooth ride :)
