3.05 Shipment of the Hardware. The shipment of the Hardware is indicatively scheduled for end of Q4/2010. A-EON will provide more detailed information on shipping times once the lead times of all components are known. Betatester may subsequently opt to apply the Advance against a full AmigaOne X1000 system (including harddrive, optical drive and customized case) or may opt to receive only the Hardware. All shipping costs, taxes (including without limitation VAT, import duties and other levies) shall be born by Betatester. All shipping of the Hardware is handled through AmigaKit LLC. (source)
Non-betatesters will have to wait till 2011 I'm afraid.

Something like summer 2011 I'd guess.

Isn't that quote of yours confidential?
Not in my view. This information is given out to anyone who requests it, without signing of a non-disclosure agreement.

In most countries the recipient of mail can make the message public if he decides so. Usually considerations regarding privacy must be made however (you can't reveal legally confidential material, such as medical records). A company writing "confidential" on some document doesn't make it legally confidential, especially if you're willing to mail it out to anyone and everyone.

It all changes if you're employee of the said company and/or have signed NDA with them. Your contract and/or the NDA typically stipulate some rather serious reprimands in case of an offense. Often such breach results in termination of employment / agreement.

I thought they had only mailed it out to those who had expressed an interest in the beta test programme?
Probably. There are several kind of interest however. Some might actually be only interested on the agreement wording and not participating the beta test programme itself. In my view both are equally valid reasons for interest.

You don't consider it confidential, fair enough. Do you consider it ethical to make a message public when the correspondent has marked it confidential?
If there was a good reason to keep the information confidential, then I would consider such behavior unethical.
