If you need to ask these questions I'd seriously suggest you to reconsider. AROS is no way comparable to Windows, not by a long shot.

No, not really. I'd like to think people are smart enough to see the differences.

Well in short: Just don't go buy AROS system and expect Windows kind of functionality. Or Mac OS X, or even Linux.

I beg to differ. Linux has tons of highly skilled developers and a lot of company interests behind it.

Linux does have resources, much more than any amigalike OS.
