Should i buy a bufferd interface and then upgrade to scsi

Err, if you're going SCSI, why buy some buffered interface?

Anyway, BPPC SCSI beats the crap out of powerflyer.

Because i would need to back up the files on my current IDE hard drive.

You don't need any buffered interface for that. If it's 3.5" device then you need 2.5"<->3.5" cable. IDEFIX demo is enough to get >4GB access going.

And if you go SCSI, you can get SCSIDE and connect the IDE drive to SCSI directly...

Ah right i see, well my drive is a 30 gig drive so i wont be able to use the 2.5/3.5 adaptor.

Why not?

So if i have the correct cable/adaptor to use IDE on scsi does that mean my drive which already has os3.9 installed will boot right away on scsi?

Yes.

Well with a 2.5-3.5 adaptor it will just be 4 gigs of the drive available?

No.

As I said earlier, IDEfix Demo is enough to get >4GB working.
