How would I be able to load some old amiga prg's there ?

Like thomas said already, AROS doesn't run old amiga programs. You must use UAE.

But if you're using UAE anyway, why not use WinUAE from windows?

I've tried to install Gnome from a live cd, but that didnt work.

GNOME is a desktop environment, not linux distribution.

If you insist with something ~Windows, Ubuntu should be quite easy to set up.
