A500+ has kickstart 2.04 so it is Left mouse button whilst resetting.

A1200 has kickstart 3.x so it both mouse buttons whilst resetting.

Both 2.x and 3.x require that you hold both buttons down.

it says "2.0 ROM" 37.175 on the start up screen for my 500+

This runs anything upto WB 2.1.

It will boot, but some things just outright refuse to work, or crash.

Due to a dissagreement between Softvoice and Commodore, "Say" was dropped from Version 2.0 (and all later versions of AmigaOS).

Like InTheSand points out, 2.0x had it. It was removed from WB 2.1, and never returned.

@mr_a500

Actually the better sound quality comes (mostly) from the newer narrator.device, not translator.library.

IIRC also the newer translator.library was required for the best sound quality (it'd add the new control codes supported by the new narrator.device).

Missing files on Amiga Forever ADFs are probably explained by Cloanto's policy regarding disputed components. Not sure if this is it, but this would explain it at least.

The more precise, the better ;)

Hmm I guess 2.1 added CrossDOS then, or what was the thing... ?-)
