I'm wondering because I just opened the case of my new Amiga 1000 (what a beautiful thing!) and it says it was made in November 1985 and the inside cover has the "signatures" of the Amiga team. (not actual signatures, but raised plastic)
www.amiga-hardware.com A1000 page tells us all REV 6 and REV A systems have the signatures.
Rev 6 (NTSC June 1985, motherboard used copper traces. Designers signatures on case)
Rev A (NTSC June 1986, motherboard uses cheaper tin traces. Designers signatures on case)
Rev B (September 1986. No signatures on case)
