1.  It's amazing how much better the DRAM works when  clock speed is included in the parameters for firing the whole mess up!  Ditto the cpu!

I don't understand what you are talking about. Have you managed to get the DRAM working? What did you do?

Without DRAM and static RAM then the MMR won't be dramatically faster than an a500, because it's having to slow down to 7mhz all the time to access RAM.

2.  Contacted the seller and they admitted it was an oversight and are sending the SRAM chips out.  Only question now is why did they remove them in the first place?

What he probably means is he forgot he took the photo before he took out the static ram, because he was going to use it in something else or sell it separately. Or maybe it didn't sell for as much as he thought it would and wanted to make up for it by selling the static ram.

Oh wait, everyone selling Amiga stuff is a crook these days, lol. :p

It's not just people selling Amiga stuff.

I put in a best offer on some console hardware, we went through some negotiating and agreed a price including p&p. When he sent through the counter offer it then added p&p, he said to pay it and he'd refund it. At this point I was starting to think he was probably a bit dodgy, but I thought I'd let it play out and contact ebay for a refund if he didn't. Then after paying he said that paypal had put a hold on the money for 14 days (I think it must have been a new paypal account). He said that because of this he wouldn't send the item straight away, which is stupid as the money is held so the customer will receive the goods before you can withdraw it. However I said it was fine, I was in no rush. He kept trying to convince me and then he refunded me.

I can't know for definite that people are dodgy, but if they do something that appears to be dodgy then it's not worth getting suckered by giving people the benefit of the doubt.
