For those who like windows, this is a great aesthetic upgrade . . .

But its like make-up on a pig for those who don't . . . :)

I've never understood why anyone who doesn't like windows would actually choose to run it.

This basically allows those who think that windows is the best choice but don't want to admit it, to feel better about themselves.

There are enough other fashionable choices for the modern microsoft hater to mean that you would never have to run windows.

Perhaps because, shock horror, they want/need the software that runs on it.

Since when is pragmatism a bad thing.

That was my point.

If you make the choice that windows is the best choice because you need to run it for the software it has then why bother bashing it?

The person who switched to using AmigaOS permanently (which I did until the year 2000) or anyone who runs MacOS, Linux etc have made their choice & I can accept that they can make jibes about Windows (and people can make jibes about MacOS/Linux etc, AmigaOS is off limits :-) ).

Windows 2000 onwards has been stable enough & had enough hardware/software support that I couldn't justify sticking with AmigaOS though. At this point I can't really criticise it, without criticising my own decision.

If you hate microsoft & windows that much there is always Wine or a rootless VM. Or have the haters become lazy?
