DiscreetFX Supports charity: water
« on: October 12, 2010, 03:50:24 PM »
For the month of October 2010 we will be supporting charity: water

It's a great cause and helps poor people get a vital resource to keep them alive and healthy.

Purchase any lower cost product from our Amiga Shop like a Competition Pro joystick for example and we donate $5 to charity: water.

Purchase higher priced products over $60 and we donate $20 to charity:water. Twenty dollars gives a poor person in a third world county clean water for 20 years.

You don't have to buy anything from us, you can also donate direct via the link below.

Best regards

DiscreetFX Team

Hmm...  Most companies use tactics like this to tug on your heart strings, they're still business people at the end of the day.  Usually prices have been adjusted to account for the donation beforehand so as to not eat into profit margins; it's the customer that is donating not the company.

Better off just having a link the order confirmation page saying "hey we believe in this charity, please donate"etc

No prices have been harmed or changed for this news item.
