Stuck Serial Cable Thumbscrew
« on: November 05, 2010, 11:14:36 AM »
Hey everyone, I was downloading a demo onto my amiga last night, and everything was going swimmingly.  I went to unplug the serial cable and the right thumbscrew is stuck.  It turns (and I'm turning it the right way) but it is STILL is stuck onto the port.  It will let you turn it both ways (which is to say maybe the threading is stripped....) I don't know why that would be, I don't overturn the screws.  I do use the the serial port a lot, so maybe that has something to do with it.  I don't know what to do in a situation like this, because I grew up in an era of usb ports.  My first computer had usb ports!

Man: Hah! What have you got to be afraid of? I\'m the one that\'s going to be coming back alone!

Actually, I guess it was just screwed in too tight.  Had someone else try and it came loose....
