For sale: Blizzard PPC 060 with PPC running at 330MHz
« on: January 27, 2010, 09:05:54 AM »
Hi,
After my experimets are quite sucessful, I wold like to sell two of of 3 od my Blizzard PPC cards wich I've upgraded recently.

Please see thread for more info:

http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=50928&page=3

I have cards with following config:

1) Blizzard PPC 060@66MHz/PPC@330MHz no SCSI no box no manual
Proven to work 060@72MHz/PPC@330Mhz :-)

2) Blizzard PPC 060@66MHz/PPC@330MHz with onboard SCSI + SCSI cables + original box + orginal manual + original install floppies + unfilled registration card
Proven to work 060@72MHz/PPC@330Mhz with SCSI module fully functional :-)

3) Blizzard PPC 060@50MHz/PPC@330MHz with onboard SCSI + SCSI cables, no original box, no orginal manual, no original install floppies, no registration card
Proven to work 060@72MHz/PPC@330Mhz with SCSI module fully functional :-)

With 72MHz 060 CPU is getting quite hot without any coling, anyway card is sold with config 060@66MHz.
060 oscillator socket and extra 72MHz oscillator on request only!

RAM Memory configrations:
1) 2x64MB 60ns Kingston one sided working at 66MHz
2) 2x32MB 60ns (Samsung as far as I remember, but not 100% sure) double sided working at 66MHz
3) 2x32MB 60ns (Samsung as far as I remember, but not 100% sure) double sided working at 66MHz

As I need money fo my future projects (Cyberstorm upgrade) and having in mind that cards with such config are quite rare, I'm expecting to get at least 650EUR for one card.

Have you done any testing with the Blizzard Vision attached?

I don't have BVision...
But form my experience (I was working with hardware of other polish Amiga community members) some of them just refuse to work with 060@66MHz even with active cooling.
So there are 2 options:
1) socket for oscillator and 60MHz + 66MHz oscillators for trial done by you and your choice
2) solder 60MHz oscillator to avoid any surprise.

The cards were checked with config 060@72MHz/PPC @330MHz and SCSI is working stable with this config!
There was only small trick with "Sync Period" to be set to 5MHz for each device to get stable work with 060@72MHz.
You can experiment with other settings.

Are those 060s full 060, or are they EC/LC

Check the movies; they are full 060 with MMU and FPU.

I'm not offering EC or LC becuse I think that now turbo board (Blizzard PPC especially) with LC or EC version doesn't make sense.
