Well it behaves like an A500+ , it got the Amiga chipset.. so. yes?
I look at it as more of a mini-A2000, its got expansion slots after all.
Then again, it doesn't have a cpu slot, and no, for me Vampire doesn't resolve that.
I can't get away from the feeling that using an FPGA as a processor is somehow cheating.
Even on the latest 6809 based project I've got on my workbench, which uses two FPGAs, the processor is still a 40 pin 6808 or 6309 (or possible a 44 pin 6309), which limits the system to a max of 2-3 MHz (4 if overclocked).
An FPGA with a cycle accurate 6809 core would provide 25 MHz (faster still if the code providing cycle accurate operation is stripped).
But its not "the real article" guys. And once you've gone that far, why not just emulate it with an X64 system?
