sounds like great news to me:hammer:

Sure, handing the IP over to well known control freaks, "good", hmm...

...rushes to download the last release of P96 "Unofficial" before it gets taken down, just in case...

Ha! Yeah, so did I. What a mess.

Pity things didn't get standardized around CyberGraphX.
BUT, since that's proprietary too (V5 being incorporated into MorphOS)...

Every time something like this happens, I get the urge to reexamine AROS.

AROS..... Bahhhh. Just sayin.

Yeah...that's generally the conclusion I come to after (yet again) considering it.
But WTF, sold it to Hyperion?

Not "opened it to the public", or "gave it to A-eon", but "sold it to someone sneaky enough to cheat Bill McEwen". :furious:

Where's the "popcorn" smiley??  I'd really like this to work out for the good.

You should definitely change your Southpark avatar to dead Kenny covered in rats.

Optimists...again, sheesh.

You get yet another proof that the curse is real, and you want a positive spin put on it. :roflmao:

What's wrong with cheating Bill McEwen?

Nothing per se, in fact its all pretty amusing at least at a distance.

Former truck driver known to employ complex machinations and with apparent delusions of grandeur gets cheated out of an asset he in all probability didn't really own the rights to anyway (by a lawyer no less).

It just gives you an idea of the caliber of people we are dealing with here.

"...I will open up the API of P96 for free"

Yes, that does render the discussion moot.
And it eliminates any further finger pointing about profit motives (as IF there is significant profit potential in the Amiga market).

no problem... then pay for everything

or stay with a stagnating platform

OR move to Linux and stop worrying about being nickeled and dimed to death.

I'd pay $100 bucks for an updated version of Ibrowse.

THAT is funny. Yeah, I want to pay for browsers too.
No, actually, I use Odyssey, so I don't really need iBrowse (and browsing with legacy hardware is a experience best left to those who are really into PAIN).
