first day buyer when it is finished :)

Uh, wrong. That would be me (I hope).
I have been in contact with Paul Gentle at Varisys since before it was announced that they designed the X1000.
And I've exchanged several messages with Trevor over the last few years.
I have hoped for this since Freescale introduced the E5500 core, and now it is likely to happen.

An AmigaOne running MorphOS.
Frankly, my wet dream realized.

I am not interested in getting into pissing matches with OS4 supporters either, as I am likely to set an X5000 up to triple boot MorphOS, OS4, and Linux.
I know what I like better, as the developers are consistently producing upgrades and are some of our oldest and best coders.
However, OS4 actually does tend to resemble 3.1 more.
This is actually a result of the difference in focus between the developers of these two OS'.

Frankly, with such a small user base, we should feel grateful to have three NG OS offerings to choose from and more than one new hardware developer.

Pretty damned neat for a system that was written off by most years ago.
