Kesa,
Do people actually use real Amiga's to surf the web?
Sounds painful.
Considering how slow that would be, when do you folks find time to eat or defecate?

An Amiga user understands how to multitask, we can surf the web, eat and defecate at the same.

Whoa! Don't wanna get to close to that.
OK, but when do you folks have time for sex?
Please don't tell me its concurrent (man, THAT would get ugly).

People these days seem to be under the impression that anything under a gigahertz is incapable of running a basic web browser. It's seriously not that impossible - a moderately upgraded Amiga is on par with the kind of machines that were used for web browsing back in the old days. It ain't zippy, but it's certainly not that unusable. (The truth is just that your modern multi-gigahertz machine isn't as much faster as you think it is, outside of certain specific cases...)

Personally, I don't use my A1200 as much as I should - I'm currently trying to get it set up to do a little more, such as MIDI editing and animation. Ultimately my intention is for it to be a development platform for my game projects, I just haven't gotten around to those yet...

No, not incapable, just painful (especially when we're  talking under 100MHz).
That's why I follow Xdelusion's lead and use a MorphOS machine (or better) for browsing.
Games on an Amiga, even text editing or music - no problem.

Yes, and some day appear a OS capable of be at least responsive without any lag on modern pcs.

Already got that, without the lag of an '80s slooow processor.

Likewise, I agree with CommodoreJohn;  It may not be as quick under a 50MHz '030 but I wouldn't call it painful, in fact, I quite enjoy it (nostalgia perhaps, but it feels great).

Nostalgia for me is  old Judas Priest videos, but they're hokey too.
