Even the mighty Nintendo 64 remake pales into insignificance after you've played Stardust and Super Stardust AGA 
(PC versions are DOS so hardly anybody ever found a config.sys setup that worked before giving up so ner ner)
I'm kind of surprised it would take the power of either of those machines to reproduce that games.
Personally, I always liked the NES version of Galaga (if you want to discuss good recreated arcade games).
