Personally, I think we need to collectively grow up and learn how to not let every little deviation from our computing microcosm send us into a fury.

Basically, don't be this guy.

^^

This possible feature seems silly and childish at the least, and outright patronizing at the worst.  No one is forcing people to read things they are not interested in.

Aj, bans for what?  Speaking your mind, or pointing out holes in logic or pointing out outright lies?  REMEMBER:  You can ignore people!  You can choose not to participate in a thread!  Having a contrary viewpoint offered in a civil, well put tone isn't grounds for banning.

I'm as guilty as the next guy as sometimes going overboard on things, something I am trying to change.

If A.org is going to start banning people for contrary views spoken in honest, civil debate in a civil manner, A.org can go to Hell in my books, lol.

The spirited debate aspect is what is good about A.org, if kept in check.
People get pissed off, shout and yell and disagree, and as long as it doesn't venture into personal abuse it's opinion, no?  Even after a turbonerd debate blowout, no harm no foul - all get together, have a beer and agree to disagree and leave it be.

This whole feature reeks of people unable to avoid what doesn't interest them.  I don't speak/read Russian, so I don't subscribe to Russian newspapers.  Freedom of choice of what to consume, parse, and give input towards without some stupid PHP script doing your thinking for you?

I can do that myself, I've got just barely enough IQ points to handle that, lol.
