Plenty of PPC Linux options for these SAM rigs. Linux on them is an enjoyable experience.
But yeah, you are absolutely correct the price is prohibitive for most people, Smerf. That won't change anytime soon unless OS 4.1 gets ported to commodity hardware. I enjoy my SAM 440, but it was priced about 2x what a sane man should have paid, lol.
