I'm in New England too, (Cape Cod) and would be willing to bring my X1000 to an event if it wasn't too far away.

I'd love a meet up in MA, and I'd love to check out an X1000.

It would have to be a major get together for me to drive 2+ hours.  Otherwise I'd prefer to fly out to a west coast show.  :)

I hope you can get enough interest to make an East Coast meeting happen, but also hope you consider doing both, and book a flight to Sacramento in October. Edit: 2 hours is nothing, I drive 7 to 8 hours each time I go to an AmiWest Show, but hopefully not this year, as I am looking to move to within 1 to 2 hours drive from Sacramento before the show happens this Oct.

It's not the drive by itself, but in relation to what I get out of it in return.  I'd drive 4-5 hours for an overnight or full day if I'm going to get a lot out of it, but driving more than a couple of hours to just hang out for a few hours with a couple of other Amiga enthusiasts probably isn't worth it.

I would love to take a trip out west for a show, but I'm torn between AmiWest and CommVex... and it would be difficult to do one never mind both with my schedule, family, etc.
