This is very cool. I have clear now what a jumper is, looks like and what is for? But I can't figure out where to put it yet? Is only one or two?
What do you mean above by jump first and then remove the jumper after installing?
Think of the two pins as a switch. If no jumper is connected, the switch is OFF, but if a jumper is connected, the switch is ON.
So what he means is that you first turn a function ON, and then turn it OFF by removing the jumper.
BTW. I don't think it is a stupid question, there was a time when I was wondering about the same myself.
