Any Amiga game collectors on Facebook?
« on: June 05, 2008, 12:20:39 PM »
Hey,
I'm currently developing a pretty damn geeky Facebook application for the game collectors out there. It's nothing big, nothing fancy.

I was wondering if a couple of gamers (with a Facebook account) could help me out a bit. Trying it out, finding bugs, coming with ideas etc.

And before you start to whine about Facebook, spammy applications and millions of forced invites; this will be anything but spammy and annoying and won't spit out thousands of announcements every time you push a button.

The basic principle of this app is to show off your game collection (either on your profile page or just on the app canvas page) and perhaps rate games and such. I dunno. There are probably a thousand apps like it but the upside of doing it yourself is that you can get it 100% the way you want it.

It's not live yet, so no link is available. Consider yourself PM'ed in a short while. :D

Thanks for the interest guys. :)

The application isn't limited to Amiga so you can add games for all different systems if you like.

The database is very limited at the moment, I've just started adding some of the games from my own collection. All testers can add missing games directly.

At the moment the functions are really limited as well. You can add new games, add them to your collection and view your collection divided into the different systems (Amiga, Xbox, PS3 etc). You can also view your friends' collections.

Rating games, seeing top lists and ways to display the info about the collection you wish to display on your profile page is on its way.

Oh, and there's no eye-candy whatsoever yet.
